Today saw two rising stars of golf compete to become the Drumoig Junior Handicap Champion. The match was played in great spirit over 18holes in some testing conditions.Nicholas Evans and Vincent Clark entertained the watching spectators and caddies by demonstrating some excellent driving and short game skills. The match swung in both directions with Nicholas going 2up early on only to be pegged back by Vincent who then went into a commanding lead. However Nicholas showed great bounce back ability and fought well to bring the match back to all square. But Vincent was not to be denied. He regained the lead and held off the challenge to win the match on the 16th hole when he secured an impressive birdie which resulted in a 3&2 victory.
